about duke st community house

Duke St Community House is about many things. It is about people. It is about learning. It is about connection. ...but most of all it is about community.

Duke St Community House is a small community house (it's like a community centre only it is set in a converted house) set in Sunshine, a suburb in the west of Melbourne. It is managed by the local community via a locally elected committee of management.

It was set up by the local community to provide a place to meet, learn and connect. From its mid 1970s beginnings its mission has stayed consistent: "Community for Life"

This section is a celebration of who we were, who we are and where we would like to be heading. We hope that the information provided is thorough and informative.
